The official venue for the CIBJO Congress in the headquarters of the congress host, the Russian Jewellery Guild. The official hotel and the venue for the pre-congress meetings, on May 17 and May 18, is the five-star Hotel Nikol'skaya.

Featuring unique architecture and rich history, the Hotel Nikol'skaya is located in Moscow’s city centre, a complex of historical buildings at the corner of Nikolskaya Street, Lubyanka Square, Maly Cherkassky Lane and Bolshoi Lane opposite the Bolshoi Theatre. It is a few minutes’ walk from the Red Square and the Kremlin.

The building that today houses the hotel was built in 1870 as an apartment house by Count Alexei Orlov-Davydov, who was a member of one of Russia’s wealthiest families and a deputy in the country’s parliament, who escaped to France after revolution. Its exclusive retail frontage featured the Koeller perfumery business and a number of fine chocolate shops.

It opened as a hotel last year after six years of careful restoration, and today accommodates 211 spacious rooms and suites including two Presidential suites, as well as six restaurants and bars, L. Raphael Spa, a fitness centre with an indoor pool, and five conference halls.
